Whitney Buckingham-Beechie
Whitney is known for exploring mediums and pushing boundaries to create new forms of artistic expression. This approach led to “Rambunctious Indigo”, a new method for working with a dye that has been used for centuries, in a way never done before. “My role is to coax the dye to dance.” This experimental approach is also applied to encaustic work, most recently developing body sculptures and a method for working with encaustic on metals.
Whitney is as passionate about encouraging others as she is about her own work. In addition to teaching classes, she shares her artistic talents with her community and internationally.
