Future arts center at 2nd Avenue South and Main Street in Edmonds.
Graphite is a space for artists and the public to intermingle in a unique concept with studios, workshops, and public spaces; enhancing Edmonds’ position as a Northwest arts hub. Check out the website to see our roll-out of programs and opportunities.
Graphite houses the foundation called Art Start Northwest. Founded in 2015, this non-profit has been placing art supplies in local schools and groups in need to fulfill our mission to “ make art accessible to all.”

Becoming a Graphite Community Artist
First we will ask our artists to embrace the goals of Art Start Northwest:
Willingness to interact with the public in a spirit of inclusivity
Be open to diverse points of view
Be available to interact, grow, collaborate and lend support to each other
Details for Studio Lease and Locker Rentals will be specified in Rental Agreements
Support the mission of Art Start Northwest:
“To champion the creative process and make art accessible to all who seek to learn.”
There are five studios available from $600-$975 per month.
We are looking for full time professional level artists.
Artists will be accepted after review of their website and interview with representatives of Art Start Northwest.

Currently taking applications for the Graphite “Locker Room.”
Another option for artists are locker rentals, where personal art supplies can be secured.
Rentals will be announced on FaceBook “Graphite Arts Center - Edmonds”
Lockers $125 per month
Includes access to the Atrium workshop area to create art with other members of the Graphite community.
Available to artists three days per week.
Lockers are leased to individual artists only.

Graphite Gallery IS PROUD TO Host THE INTERSECTION SHOW!
This juried show seeks to feature under-represented artists whose visibility and unique voices are integral to the body of arts and culture in the Salish Sea region. We are currently accepting submissions Feb 1st through March 1st.

“The concept of Graphite becomes clear as you walk through the new building. After entering the front doors (found on Main Street between the entrance to the new Charcoal restaurant and the corner where the cow stands), you will see a meet-and-greet area. To your immediate left, as you look through the window next to the front door, is Mary Olsen’s nook — a fully open and visible nook where Olsen will be painting. We will be open for all Edmonds Art Walks starting in April!
Edmonds Art Walk is a free, family friendly event every Third Thursday.

What is available to the public now?
A wonderful treat is to visit the very first art exhibit at the new Graphite Gallery, currently showing the work of Donna Leavitt. Restaurant patrons of Charcoal are welcome to visit the Gallery 4-9pm nightly.
It’s a great first glimpse of what Graphite will be bringing to our community.
Gallery OPEN Noon-4pm Saturdays through April 16, and again starting May 7th for the Intersections Show.
