Depth matters more than perspective. Paint's three-dimensionality delights me. Squares and trees elicit visceral recognition, even when abstracted. The reflexive act of identifying such primal shapes can feel orienting. I use acrylic colors on canvas or wood, often augmenting with ink and graphite. Vibrancy and griminess -- luminous patina. Visit to see more of his work, click here to watch a video interview with him!
